How to upload a BAPLIE file
This article explains the process to upload a BAPLIE file for viewing.
Upon logging in to baplieviewer.com, the homepage will load and a Function Menu will be displayed on the left side of the screen. Click Upload BAPLIE under your facility's name.
Navigating the Upload BAPLIE page
The below annotated image shows a description of each available feature in the Upload BAPLlE section.
Select how BAPLIE Viewer reads the file
In almost every scenario, you can leave the default option as "Automatically Detect Contents" where BAPLIE Viewer Online automatically detects the type of EDI file that was uploaded. Occasionally you may wish to force BAPLIE Viewer to read the file as a BAPLIE version 2.0 file. This could happen if there was a problem with the header information of the EDI file which prevented the website from understanding that the file is a BAPLIE and which version of BAPLIE it should be.
Select the file you wish to upload
To upload a file, either drag and drop or use the Select button to choose a file from your computer.
Select the BAPLIE file from your local machine or from a network location.
Reading the file
BAPLIE Viewer will upload the file to our servers and perform validation checks to confirm that the file is a .BAP, .EDI, or .TXT file. It will then read the contents of the file, and confirm which EDIFACT EDI file has been uploaded.
Validation Failed
If any of the criteria used to validate the content of the BAPLIE file fails, then BAPLIE Viewer Online will inform you of the failure, and will try to explain the reason for the failure. The content of the file must adhere to the specification of BAPLIE EDIFACT files as determined by SMDG.org.
If you experience a validation error, and are not able to determine the reason for the failure, please click the "Contact Support" link and create a ticket for a member of our team to review the file content and explain the reason for the failure in detail.
Validation Passed
If the file uploaded was a BAPLIE file, and the contents of the file adhere to the SMDG specification for the specific version of BAPLIE that was uploaded, then validation will pass. You can then view the contents of the file by selecting the "Click Here to View File" button.
After the validation has passed, the file will be stored under the Files tab on the Upload page.
Click the Files tab to view a list of uploaded BAPLIE files and select one for viewing.
Uploaded BAPLIE Files
On the Files tab, uploaded BAPLIE files will be available to select for viewing. From this page, you can also share. delete, or download the files.
