October 2026 Updates

Equipment status

Every container in a BAPLIE can carry an equipment status, such as Continental, Export, Import, Remain on board or Transshipment. BAPLIE Viewer now shows it, lets you filter and edit it, and keeps it when you download or convert a file.

See it

  • Main Content has a new Equipment Status column. It shows the status name, or "-" when a container has none. If a file contains a value that isn't on the standard list, you see it exactly as it was sent.
  • The 2D view shows Equipment Status in the container info popup, and you can colour by it.
  • The Dashboard has a new Equipment Status chart. Use the chart's legend to filter the other charts by a status. It is also available in the container list that opens from a chart's info button.
  • If you saved your own column layout, switch the new column on in the column chooser. If you customised the container list fields, add it with Select Table Fields.

Change it

  • Edit forms have an Equipment Status dropdown: in Main Content (one container or many) and in the 2D view (edit one, edit several with "apply to selected", and add a container).

Check it

  • The Anomalies page has a new Equipment Status category. It lists status values the standard doesn't recognise, grouped as "Unknown code ...". BAPLIE 3 files don't use this field, so a status in a BAPLIE 3 file is flagged there.

Keep it

  • Downloads converted to BAPLIE 2.0 or 2.2 keep every status.
  • Downloads converted to BAPLIE 1.5 leave the status blank, because that version has no equipment status. The Download page asks you to confirm first if your containers have one.
  • Download original is unchanged.

Excel

  • Import from Excel has an optional Equipment status code column. Use the code number or the name, in any letter case. Anything unrecognised is reported and left blank, and saved column mappings remember the choice.
  • Export to Excel writes the status name (or "-") when the column is in your layout.

Fixed: editing a container used to clear its equipment status. It no longer does.

Weight to VGM: new option for empty containers

Facility administrators can now choose whether Weight to VGM also fills in empty containers.

  • Where: Manage Facility → Facility Settings → Copy Weight to VGM includes empty containers.
  • Default is No, which works exactly as before: only full containers are filled in.
  • Set it to Yes and empty containers are filled in too. It applies to everyone in the facility, and the Weight to VGM button's tooltip tells you which mode is on.

Easier settings pages

  • Saving is clearer. Facility Settings now tells you to press Update Settings after a change, and shows a highlighted "You have unsaved changes" bar with its own Update button until you save.
  • Tidier layout on Manage Facility, Facility info, Manage Organization and your Profile: labels wrap less, toggles sit closer to the right, blank gaps are gone, buttons are easier to find, and the tab list is more compact so all tabs fit without scrolling.
  • The multi-factor authentication setup window is smaller. The QR code and the manual code sit side by side, so the six code boxes and the buttons fit on a normal screen without scrolling.
  • Organization administrators: the "(invited)" label next to administrators now works.

Good to know

  • Equipment status is part of BAPLIE 2.x. BAPLIE 1.5 has no such field, so converting to 1.5 clears it (you are asked first), and BAPLIE 3 files don't use it.
  • The container list's field chooser allows up to 10 fields, so you may need to remove one before adding Equipment Status.
  • On the new home page, anomaly icons are worked out file by file. The first time you visit, you may see a small spinner for a few seconds before the icons appear.
  • "Find container" searches your 40 most recently changed files and tells you how many it searched.
